The 2013 edition of San Francisco’s famous literary festival Litquake ended last night with Litcrawl, an evening of free pub crawl-like literary events dotted along Valencia Street in the Mission. As the parent of a toddler whose father is swamped with work deadlines, I did not get to attend as many of the Litquake events as I would have liked. However, I did get the opportunity do some lit-crawling — I attended a fun reading of pulp-y writing and I saw some Shakespeare performed in a sidewalk parklet. There are times when I really miss expat life, but there are events like Litquake and Litcrawl that make me so happy to be back in the US.
Glad you got out to a few. Sounds like it was right up your alley (figuratively and literally!).
